Hadleigh is a delightful mediaeval wool town in the heart of the south Suffolk countryside readily accessible from the A12 and a fast train service to London Liverpool Street. There are many fascinating local attractions - the Guildhall, Deanery and St. Mary's Church complex and the High Street with its wealth of half timbered and jettied town houses.
For a short stay there is an excellent Chinese and two Indian restaurants, takeaways and the local pubs the George and Marquis of Cornwallis both offer good food. There are pleasant walks along the River Brett and the former railway link to Ipswich.
Should you wish to venture further afield famous cultural attractions such as Sutton Hoo, Aldeburgh with the Snape Maltings, Woodbridge and Southwold are no more than an hour's drive away.
